Week 10: The Levels of Teaching Innovation

Hello all E-teachers
The Levels of Teaching Innovation
This is the first time I read about LoTi and I am amazed by the conceptualization that Dr. Chris Moersch did in 1994. He mentions something five very decisive things.
1.     A research tool to assess authentic classroom technology use.
2.     Measurement of classroom teachers implementation of the tenets of digital-age literacy.
3.     The effective use of digital tools and resources to promote higher order thinking.
4.     Engagement of students learning.
5.     Authentic assessment practices in the classroom.
Ion my humble opinion, I think I am in the Exploration stage (LoTi Level 2) I always say that this is a life a learning, there is so much knowledge out there and we come up with new bright ideas every day, that is new knowledge as well. Plus, is has been scientifically proven that our children are born more intelligent than us, so what we know is just little compared to what they will know then.
By next year, I would like to be at least at the Integration: Routine (Level 4b) or expansion (Level 5), leaving the Refinement (Level 6) as a short time future goal. How do I plan to do it? Well, I am fully immersed in CALL and the WEB 2.0, which is certainly going to help a lot. I am going to do my best to consolidate the Media Club 2.0 at UTN University and try to get as many students as possible involved with it. Apart from Webinars, here are some of the things I plan to do at the Media Club 2.0.
